Sylvia Juric CFP®, CLU®

Sylvia graduated from Lewis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration. She began her career at a municipal bond firm in Chicago’s Financial District, where she worked her way up to Vice President. Inspired to work directly with clients, Sylvia transitioned into financial planning while raising her two young children, ages 3 and 9 months. She joined what was then IDS Financial Services, where she established her own practice. With over 30 years of experience, Sylvia earned both the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations, and she has been helping clients achieve their financial goals ever since.

Community involvement is a key part of Sylvia’s life. She has served as a Trustee on the Winfield Police Pension Board since 2021. A lifelong dog lover, Sylvia has also volunteered as a dog walker with Anderson Humane since 2018, helping pets find their forever homes.

A long-time resident of the western suburbs of Chicago, Sylvia has been married to Ed Waghorne for over 30 years. Together, they raised three children in Wheaton: John, a client service specialist for an investment consulting firm in Chicago; Sylvia, an attorney in Manhattan focusing on litigation; and Katherine, a fourth-year medical student preparing to begin her residency.

Outside of her professional life, Sylvia enjoys improving her golf and pickleball skills and planning bucket list travel adventures.
