
Paul was born and raised in the Chinatown area of Chicago. In 1965, his family moved to Skokie, Illinois. In May 1977, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Music with a concentration in Piano Performance from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, IL.
In September of 1977, Paul began his career in the financial services industry at Thomson McKinnon Securities, Inc. In March 1978, he passed the Series 7 exam and in July 1990 earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. Utilizing this certification, he likes to plan for all of his clients on investment planning, insurance planning, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning. In Sept. 1981, he passed the Illinois Department of Insurance examination to sell Life Insurance and Variable Contracts to his clients.
Paul is very involved with his church, the Chinese Christian Union Church, located in the Chinatown area of Chicago. For 15 years, he has been a volunteer Sunday school teacher. He has also played piano for the church choir for many years.
He lives in Skokie, Illinois with his wife, May and their two children: Matthew and Aimee.
