Jeffrey F. Meyer, AAMS^®

My Family is paramount to me.  My wife and 3 kids are my life.  I enjoy anything that involves doing things with them.  My oldest son is 28 and is an assistant state attorney in Sarasota.  I also have boy/girl twins who are 23.  My daughter is a school teacher and my twin son is a floor manager with Lowe’s here in Sarasota. My wife Joy works for Plymouth Harbor assisted living facility near St Armands Circle.  I am grateful to have everyone living locally in Sarasota.  We moved to Florida from the western suburbs of Chicago in 2015.

As far as my professional career in concerned, I worked in television after graduating from Indiana University in 1989.  I started out as a news/sport photographer and eventually did on-air work in the sports department.  I left TV in 1991 to pursue an aviation career.  I flew commercially for a short time with Great Lakes Airlines (A United Express carrier) but it just wasn’t the career for me.  I do keep my flight instructor certificate current although I have not flown in quite some time.  I began my career as a Wealth Manager after leaving the aviation industry. I started in this industry with AG Edwards only to move to Ameriprise Financial after AG Edwards sold during the financial crisis of 2007-2009.  I left Ameriprise in 2016 to go independent with Upstream Investment Partners.  While I have been with Upstream our home office operations were done through Sigma Financial from 2016-2023 but are now done through LPL Financial.

I enjoy gardening/landscape work as well as other decorating projects around the house.

I love to play basketball, go to the beach and generally be outside.
